Dodgers’ Trio of Aces Poised to Make MLB History

Heading into the 2025 season, the Dodgers’ trio of aces—Roki Sasaki, Blake Snell, and a healthy Tyler Glasnow—could make history.

One of the most intriguing milestones to watch is their ability to generate strikeouts. No rotation in MLB history has ever featured three starters with a strikeout rate of at least 30%. However, according to MLB.com’s Sarah Langs, this Dodgers trio has the potential to achieve just that.

“With Sasaki, Snell, and Glasnow, the Dodgers have three pitchers projected for a 30% strikeout rate or higher,” Langs noted. “No team in MLB history has had three pitchers with at least a 30% strikeout rate and 75 innings pitched each in a season.”

The biggest question mark among the three is Sasaki, as he has yet to pitch at the Major League level. A 30% strikeout rate is a tough feat for any pitcher, especially a rookie. However, if he can make a similar impact to Paul Skenes, the Dodgers could be on the verge of a historic season.
