Mavericks Acquire Caleb Martin in Trade with Philadelphia

The Dallas Mavericks made a trade before the NBA deadline, acquiring forward Caleb Martin from the Philadelphia 76ers. 1 Dallas traded Quentin Grimes and their own 2025 second-round draft pick (originally belonging to the 76ers) to Philadelphia in exchange for Martin.

This trade was announced shortly after Luka Doncic’s introductory press conference with the Los Angeles Lakers, following his weekend trade to LA.

Martin, 29, has played in 31 games this season, averaging 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

Grimes, who had participated in the Mavericks’ shootaround earlier Tuesday, played 47 games for Dallas this season, his first with the team, and averaged 10.2 points per game.
