Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown is heading back to the Super Bowl for a shot at redemption. Two years ago, Brown and the Eagles fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, despite a 45-yard touchdown catch by Brown. Now, AJ Brown is ready for Super Bowl LIX against the same Chiefs team.
While his time at Ole Miss didn’t include any bowl game appearances, AJ Brown credits his experiences in Oxford for preparing him for the biggest stage in football. “Every moment of my journey prepared me for this moment,” AJ Brown said during Super Bowl media week. “As I got into college, I think those moments in college prepared me for moments like these. We didn’t go to a bowl game or anything, but I think every step of my journey prepares me for Sunday.”
This season, AJ Brown has been a key contributor for the Eagles, with 67 receptions, 1,079 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns. In the postseason, AJ Brown has added 120 yards and a touchdown, including a six-reception, 96-yard performance in the NFC Championship Game.
AJ Brown and the Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. CT on FOX.
