The Anaheim Ducks have traded left wing Pavol Regenda to the San Jose Sharks for right wing Justin Bailey. Bailey will be assigned to the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s AHL affiliate.
Bailey, 29, has played 141 NHL games with several teams, totaling 23 points. This season with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL), he has 14 points in 33 games. Last season with the Sharks, he set career highs in NHL games played, goals, assists, and points (14 points in 59 games). In his AHL career, Bailey has 255 points in 403 games.
Regenda, 25, played 19 NHL games with the Ducks, scoring 3 points. With San Diego (AHL) this season, he has 16 points in 36 games. His AHL career totals are 75 points in 140 games. Regenda has represented Slovakia in several international competitions, including the Olympics and World Championships.
