Despite a strong start by the Suns, who led by as many as 12 points in the first quarter, Edwards took over in the second half. He exploded for 17 points in the third quarter alone, capitalizing on Phoenix’s season-high 22 turnovers. The Timberwolves outscored the Suns 40-19 in that quarter, turning a 51-49 halftime deficit into a commanding 83-72 lead.

Edwards’ performance overshadowed solid outings from Suns stars Kevin Durant (26 points, 10 rebounds), Devin Booker (17 points), and Bradley Beal (18 points in his return from injury). Donte DiVincenzo also shone for the Timberwolves, hitting eight 3-pointers en route to a 24-point performance off the bench.

This loss continues a troubling trend for the Suns, who have struggled since the All-Star break. They now face a crucial matchup against their Pacific Division rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, on Tuesday night.
