Gardner-Johnson Traded to Texans; Vikings Reinforce Offensive and Defensive Lines

The Philadelphia Eagles are undergoing a significant defensive overhaul, trading safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans for guard Kenyon Green and draft pick swaps. This move follows the departures of defensive tackle Milton Williams and edge rusher Josh Sweat in free agency. The Texans, in turn, are addressing their offensive line needs after trading Laremy Tunsil to Washington.  

The Minnesota Vikings are aggressively reconstructing their offensive and defensive lines, securing deals with defensive tackle Jonathan Allen and guard Will Fries, joining recently acquired center Ryan Kelly. These additions aim to bolster protection for quarterback J.J. McCarthy, particularly after a season plagued by injuries and poor pass protection.  

The Buffalo Bills are also strengthening their defense, signing pass rusher Joey Bosa to replace Von Miller. Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers are undergoing a major roster reshaping, releasing edge rusher Leonard Floyd and losing several other starters.  

The Seattle Seahawks have secured linebacker Ernest Jones IV with a three-year contract, reinforcing their defense. The New Orleans Saints are bringing cornerback Justin Reid back to his home state and re-signing tight end Juwan Johnson. Finally, the Kansas City Chiefs are losing receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who has agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
